STJ Advisors acted as independent advisor on the IPO of Balta Group NV, a global, leading manufacturer of decorative rugs and European leader in residential and commercial carpets. Listed on the Euronext Brussels, the offering raised €204m, making it the largest Belgian IPO since 2015.
The success of the Balta offering is set against the backdrop of heightened market selectivity triggered by the UK election result and an extremely active European IPO pipeline.
STJ advised the company and shareholder on the key aspects of the transaction including bank terms of engagement, coordination of early investor education, research coordination including oversight of the syndicate’s pre-deal investor education activities, offer structure, valuation feedback analysis, price range setting, bookbuilding tactics, pricing and allocation.
