STJ is advising FROB on the monetisation strategy of its stake in CaixaBank
The FROB (Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring) is the Spanish government's restructuring fund that has a significant stake in CaixaBank. As of late 2024, FROB held 18% of Caixabank’s capital valued at EUR 6.6bn.
CaixaBank is Spain's third-largest lender by market value. With more than 5,000 branches and 16 million customers, it has the most extensive branch network in the Spanish market. It is listed in the Bolsa de Madrid and is part of the IBEX 35.
